Welcome to 224 Ohio Avenue located on the North end of Fort Myers Beach! This new to the rental market property is all about location, location, location! The home is a cozy, well-maintained, neat and clean, 2 bedroom, 1 bath, canal-front bungalow reminiscent of old Fort Myers Beach charm with its own private dock! The natural light combined with earthy and beach colors, rich fabrics and textures create a warm and inviting retreat. If you are not tempted by one of the many fine local restaurants, the kitchen has everything necessary to prepare your own meals. Located in a quiet residential neighborhood there is ample off-street parking, and the grounds of this home have plenty of lush tropical landscaping, with a virtual tropical paradise in the fenced in side and rear yards. The home has a rear wrap around deck overlooking the canal with dock, and a nice side deck with hot tub and chaise lounges. The back yard also has a partially enclosed outdoor shower, and accent outdoor lighting throughout the property gives a resort-like feel at night. This property has everything that you will need to ensure an enjoyable stay!

You will love its location and the convenience of being able to walk to most everything during your stay. Enjoy seven miles of white sugar sand beach waiting for you less than a 5 minute walk at the end of Ohio Ave, right across Estero Blvd. Up for an adventure? The famous action of Times Square is approximately .50 miles away, just an easy 10 minute walk! Fish off the pier, dine at the restaurants and shop at one of the many beach shops. Don't forget to get an evening treat of ice cream along the boulevard at Royal Scoop, morning breakfast and coffee at Heavenly Biscuit, and lunch at the Tuckaway Cafe. Charter boats, jet-skis, and parasailing rentals are within walking distance. Take pleasure in a day trip on the Key West Ferry. You can catch up-and-coming local artists at one of the many beach taverns, or actually participate in various karaoke sessions offered locally. Don't want to drive? Hop the Beach Trolley at the stop on the corner of Estero Blvd. and you can explore a wide variety of retail shops, local tourism sites and eateries that Estero Island has to offer. The trolley runs regularly between Fort Myers Beach and Bonita Springs. And, due to the location near the Sky Bridge, you will be closer to other southwest Florida destinations, such as Sanibel Island to the west, world-famous for its sea shells, and to the north the downtown Fort Myers River District and winter homes of Thomas Edison, Henry Ford, and Harvey Firestone are 20-30 minutes away.

Enter your retreat via steps on the right side into a foyer. The living, dining, and kitchen areas are to the right with tile flooring, and to the left is a carpeted bedroom. There is warm wood paneling throughout. This bedroom is nicely furnished with a queen-size bed, night stands and lamps, and a double dresser with mirror. There is ample closet space behind louvered doors.

From the bedroom is access to a tiled Jack and Jill bathroom with combination tub/shower with sliding glass door and tile flooring. There is a commode, as well as a single unit vanity with lavatory. Another door provides access to the second bedroom, which is carpeted and furnished with two single beds, night stand and lamp. There is a double dresser, as well as ample closet space behind louvered doors, and another door that provides access to the remainder of the home.

Immediately to the left on exiting the second bedroom is a hallway leading to the kitchen and living areas, with a door leading out to the side and back yards as previously described. On the right of this hall is a linen closet.

Continuing on towards the kitchen there is a corner desk grouping and bookshelf. To the right is the open kitchen with large island and three barstools on the living room side. There is a refrigerator/freezer, slide-in range with oven, an under-counter dishwasher, a counter-top microwave oven, and a dual stainless steel sink with disposal. There is plenty of counter space with backsplash, and everything is provided to prepare a full course meal should you so desire.

Moving through the kitchen and back toward the original point of entry, to the right is the dining area which is furnished with a rectangular wood and tile-top dining table seating six.

Adjacent to the kitchen and dining area is the large, bright, and airy living room with sliding glass doors on three walls out to the furnished wraparound deck and overlooking the back yard and canal in all its tropical splendor. It is nicely furnished with queen-size sleeper sofa, end table and lamp. There are also matching overstuffed arm chairs with adjacent tables and lamps, and there is a coffee table on an area rug. In the corner is a credenza with a large flat screen TV for your viewing pleasure. The living area has dimmable recessed canister lighting.

As noted the deck wraps around the entire living area and is furnished with wicker love seat with cushion and coffee table. There is also an outdoor lounge chair on the deck, as well as two rattan chairs with cushions and cocktail table in between. On the left side of the deck is a gas BBQ grill. The deck area has two ceiling fans. Again this all overlooks an area that one could easily make believe they were in a bungalow on a Tahitian island.

Our rental properties are all outfitted with high tech features such as remote entry locks and high speed wireless internet, etc.
