Proximity to the beach, bright and airy, tastefully decorated in a beachy/Key West motif, best describes this 2 bedroom, 1 bath private home, located mid-way down the beautiful Estero Island, your tropical paradise that still maintains its small island charm. This stilt home has the old Fort Myers Beach charm, yet has been extensively renovated sparing no cost. Deeded beach access is just across Estero Boulevard. Away from the hustle and bustle of Times Square, affording quiet relaxation for that desired relaxing getaway, is a 7-mile stretch of white, sugary sand beach providing a place for daytime beach activities, and to view the endless variety of evening sunsets. Let your imagination be your guide. In addition, one of the island's largest supermarkets and an upscale bistro on the bay is just a short car ride away. Trolley service along the boulevard is available to transport you to Times Square, with all of its restaurants, clubs, and night life. This residence is equipped with all the amenities you are accustomed to at home, but with a tropical setting!

Upon arrival there is off-street parking, and your journey to a Key West ambience begins after walking through a picket fence gate into the front yard. There is a huge oak tree beneath which is a meticulously landscaped outdoor setting, including a multitude of tropical plants, pavered walkways, ground-level solar lighting, a soothing water fountain, and a group seating area on pavers with several colorful chairs, tables, and even a lounge chair suspended from the tree. All of this is surrounded by a 6-foot high privacy fence on the sides and rear of the property.

To enter the home there is a set of multi-level stairs with Trex decking, white bannisters with plexiglass reinforcement in an effort not to block the view of the front yard from the upper covered deck porch prior to entrance to your accommodations. The front porch is furnished with a double slider chair with glass-top table to accommodate your wine or favorite drink glasses, as well as several tropical potted plants.

Once you're ready to go inside there is first a glass door, then the main door opening into the living room. There is original wood flooring throughout, with the exception of marble tile in the bathroom and kitchen, and laminate flooring in the sun room off the kitchen.

The living room is nicely furnished with a large L-shaped sofa with coffee table on a colorful area rug. There is an end table and lamp at one end of the sofa, an over-stuffed chair with ottomon to the left of the front door, and on the right side of the door is a credenza with large wall-mounted flat screen TV for your viewing pleasure. Next to this is a cushioned rattan corner chair. The wall art and d?cor throughout this home shows evidence of the amount of love and attention to detail that has been kept in mind in the renovations.

To the right of the living room is a hallway, and immediately to the right is a bedroom with queen-size bed, night stands and lamps, a remote controlled ceiling fan, walk-in closet, a 7-drawer lingerie chest, and a credenza with wood and metal detail, above which is a wall-mounted large flat screen TV. Windows overlook the front and side of the home.

Back into the hallway and to the right is another bedroom, furnished with queen-size bed, night stand and lamp, and the beachy/nautical d?cor also reminiscent of the Key West lifestyle. There is ample closet space, a wall mirror, and wall-mounted flat screen TV. Windows in this room look out to the side and rear of the home.

Back into the hallway and to the right is a custom remodeled bathroom with marble flooring and marble shower walls. There is a freestanding tub and a corner shower with glass walls and door and a wall mounted shower head and rain shower head from the ceiling, Corian vanity with lavatory, and commode with linen cabinet above.

Back into the hallway to the right, through the living room and again to the right is the bright and open kitchen, remodeled in an ultra-modern fashion with marble flooring. There is plenty of Corian counterspace with colorful tile backsplash, as well as an island with Corian countertop serving as an eating area with four leather-cushioned barstools with wine cooler beneath the island. All appliances are black stainless steel, including a 5-burner glass-top range with self-cleaning and convection oven, a built-in above range microwave, under counter dishwasher, refrigerator with side by side doors and freezer pull-out drawer, and a European style stainless steel sink with disposal. Everything necessary to create full course meals is available, and there is even a Keurig coffee maker.

The kitchen opens out onto a sunroom with wraparound windows on two sides which overlook the back yard, heated pool, and side deck. There is laminate flooring, and furnishings include a queen-size sleeper sofa with AeroBed mattress, end table, coffee table, and buffet. A door from here provides access to a large upper sun deck and stairs down to the pool area, and is furnished with a tall, round, tile and glass-top table with umbrella and four tall chairs. There are three cushioned rattan chairs as well.

Descending the stairs takes you to what will probably be the second focal point of this home. Surrounded by a 6-foot high privacy fence, pavered walkways, rock planters with a myriad of tropical plants and extensive solar lighting, some with motion detectors to illuminate as someone passes by, is the heated pool and its deck, just the beginning of this lower level covered bar and entertainment area. There's a lot of bamboo on the walls throughout this area creating a definite tropical island ambience. Poolside deck furnishings include two cushioned rattan chairs with cocktail table, and a wide rattan chaise lounge.

The covered lower level area has a hanging chaise lounge, a double wooden swing with cushion and pillows, and Blondie's Bar. This L-shaped bar, with wood tile countertop and colorful tile trim, has seating on both sides for 8-10 people, and wall d?cor includes some name-brand neon signs of well-known brews. Further on is more covered space surrounded with festive, colorful blinking lights, including a corner area with round glass-top table with four cushioned wicker chairs. Wall-mounted fans are strategically located. There is also a large wall-mounted flat screen TV, in front of which is an area rug with wicker sofa with cushion, two cushioned wicker chairs, cocktail table, and then a most unique glass-top coffee table made from a dingy.

Finally, also on the lower level is a separate air conditioned laundry room with wood tile flooring and full size washer and dryer. You may actually choose to return home with suitcases full of clean clothes!

Estero Island has numerous restaurants and night life for your choosing, and you are in the middle of it all location-wise. Very closeby are the beach front Junkanoo Restaurant and Fresh Catch Restaurant. Water activities abound that include jet ski rentals, parasailing, fishing charters, dolphin and sunset tours, as well as other closeby things to do and places to visit. Sanibel Island, world famous for its sea shells, and Fort Myers with its Downtown River District, historic winter homes of Thomas Edison, Henry Ford and Harvey Firestone, lie not far to the north, while to the south is Lover's Key State Park, Bonita Springs, and Naples.
