Welcome to 850 Oak Street, a two-level 2 bedroom, 2 bath canal-front home located on the mainland just a short 2-3 minute drive from Fort Myers Beach, also known as Estero Island, and the Gulf of Mexico. There is a minimum one month stay at this property. Times Square and the numerous boutiques, restaurants, and night life afforded at the north end of Estero Island are just a quick jump over the Sky Bridge, yet this lovely home offers easier access to Sanibel Island, the downtown Fort Myers River District and Edison Winter Home, as well as Southwest Florida Regional Airport.

These destinations are all within a 20-40 minute drive. This venue is equipped with all the amenities you are accustomed to at home, PLUS the tropical setting. Nearby amenities include Salty Sams restaurant and boat rentals, the Key West express with daily high speed round-trip runs to Key West, Bonita Bills water-side restaurant, Doc Fords restaurant also on the waterfront, Nauti Parrot restaurant (with kyak rentals), large and small charter fishing, Getaway Marina party boat, Blue Water Kyaking (kyak dock on the property), bus trolley to Fort Myers Beach, and dusk to dawn fishing light on the property. Also available for your viewing pleasure from either the upper or lower deck are dolphins and graceful manatees.

850 Oak Street is a luxurious bright and cheerful home, very nicely furnished in a beachy/nautical motif. There are many windows with plantation shutters to add to the bright and spacious feeling. The meticulous attention to detail is obvious, and lends greatly to the warm and comfortable ambience provided at this property. There are ceiling fans in both bedrooms and living area

Pull into the pavered driveway and entry is to the right side, and after entering and going past a laundry room with full size washer and dryer, there is a staircase leading up to the main level containing a guest bedroom and guest bath, as well as living, dining, and kitchen areas. There is tile flooring throughout the main level.

In the living/entertainment area there are matching leather sofas with electronic recliners, end table with lamp, and matching glass-top coffee table on an area rug. Across from the sofas, and to your left as you return towards the entry stair landing, is an entertainment center with large flat screen TV for your viewing pleasure, with shelving containing decorator items on both sides. There is also a full size desk and chair. Two sets of sliding glass doors provide access to a large furnished open outer Trex deck. There is a tall, round bar table with stools that can accommodate an umbrella, well as two other chairs and patio coffee table. This overlooks the lower level dock-side patio with its colorful potted bougainvillea plants, accessed via stairs from the upper deck. The lower deck also is nicely furnished with a round glass-top table with 4 chairs, with corner built-in bar, and separate gas BBQ grill for the barbecue enthusiast. A double swing also hangs from this partially covered lower deck.

Back up the stairs and into the living/entertainment area brings into view the gorgeous well-appointed kitchen and eating area on a custom granite-top island with 4 upholstered chairs. All kitchen counterspace is granite with tile backsplash and under-cabinet LED lighting. There is also recessed cannister lighting in the ceiling. All appliances are stainless steel, including refrigerator/freezer with side by side doors, ice and water dispenser in the freezer door, glass-top range with self-cleaning oven, above-range microwave oven, and dual under-counter dishwashers. The stainless steel kitchen sink is European style with disposal. Again, there is plenty of cabinet space as well as pantry area. All items necessary to prepare a full-course meal are provided should that be desired.

Exiting the kitchen to the right and returning to the stair landing is a hallway with two closets on the left, one of which has built-in drawers, and then the guest bedroom and bath. The bedroom is nicely furnished with a king-size bed, night stands and lamps, a 5-drawer chest, a wall-mounted flat screen TV, and double dresser with wall mirror. Windows add to the bright and airy feeling. There is ample closet space.

Exiting the guest bedroom and to the right is a nicely tiled bathroom with quartz vanity with dual lavatories, tile backsplash, and plenty of storage space beneath. The walk-in shower is nicely tiled and accessed through a glass door, complete with built-in corner seating. Next to the shower is a commode.

Lastly we take the stairs from the living/entertainment area up to the loft bedroom with en suite bath. The bedroom has rich, dark wood flooring and is furnished with a queen-size bed with night stand, corner director's chair, desk with lamp, and wall-mounted flat screen TV. A window overlooks the decks and canal below. The en suite bath is nicely tiled, with granite vanity with lavatory, commode, linen cabinet, and a doorless tiled walk-in shower.

For the adventurous, Jet Ski and parasailing rentals are just a short drive, as are fishing charters and a myriad of other water activities. Times Square, The Pier, shopping, countless restaurants and nightlife are all within close proximity as noted above.
