Welcome to a grand and unique address in the ever increasingly popular tropical paradise of Southwest Florida. Mastique 1101

"There is only one Fort Myers, and 90 million people are going to find it out." This quote by Thomas A. Edison for many years decorated the upper left hand corner of the Fort Myers News-Press. He apparently realized the unique potential of this area, along with others such as Henry Ford and Harvey Firestone. Edison began construction of his labs and winter home in the late 1880s. Since then Southwest Florida has flourished and has become one of the most unique and noteworthy areas of the state. It truly is a place to enjoy. It has been stated that there is a line about 20 miles north of Fort Myers where the weather is decidedly more subtropical and provides us with our balmy winters. Summers are also quite enjoyable. Sanibel Island, world famous for its sea shells, and Fort Myers with its Downtown River District, historic winter homes of Thomas Edison, Henry Ford and Harvey Firestone, lie not far respectively to the west and north, while to the south is the lovely Estero Island, Lover's Key State Park, Bonita Springs, and Naples.

This gated 5-star resort is located on the mainland, yet only a short distance from miles of coastline that include the vast expanse of the Gulf of Mexico, Estero pass, Fort Myers Beach, Sanibel-Captiva Island, Pine Island sound, and the Caloosahatchee River. Its location provides quick access to all these surrounding locations. The resort itself is situated right on the edge of a 25-acre lake. Guests are able to fish from this lake as well. The shell-paved path around the entire lake is the perfect place for daily walks or runs, and is a birdwatcher's paradise. There are several piers and docks that provide a covered place to sit and enoy the water and the lake breezes. Also available for guest use are paddle boards, paddle boats, Hobie sailboat, and kayaks. Bunche beach, a well known place for avid bird watchers, is about a mile away. The heated pool is a tropical dream. At one end the pool is walk-in with a gradual slope, and the other end is the perfect depth for the avid swimmer. Completing this scene is an elevated spa with rock waterfall into the pool. The magnificent and luxuriously appointed adjacent clubhouse has restrooms, media room with CD player and large flat screen TV, game tables, billiard room, and a huge well-equipped kitchen available to guests by making reservations in advance. There is also a fully equipped fitness room. In the building where the condo is there is a library and double car garage beneath the building, with garage door. The community has planned monthly activities should you care to join in, including cocktail parties, book clubs and golf. Tennis courts and gas barbecue grill are right next to the entrance to the building.

Access to this almost 2,500 square foot 3 bedroom, 3 bath residence is via elevator from the secure lobby directly to the residence foyer. Entry is through double doors into the interior foyer hall. Flooring is wood grain porcelain tile and carpeting. Immediately noticeable when entering the living room and dining areas is the expanse of windows and sliding glass doors accessing the screened in balconies. Elegant furnishings are found throughout.

The living room has a comfortable seating area with sofas and chairs, with large flat screen screen TV, and large sliding glass doors to the balcony.

Behind the living room is the spacious master bedroom and bath, with single door entry into this suite. There is access from this bedroom to the balcony, and furnished with king-size bed, flat screen TV, dresser and night stands. A walk-in closet separates the bedroom area from the bath. The bathroom has a garden tub, separate toilet room, two vanities and lavatories with quartz countertops, and a glass door enclosed separate shower.

Moving back toward the entry foyer is a large hallway leading to the huge laundry room and the remaining bedroom, baths, and office complete with full-size Murphy bed.

There is a guest bathroom at the end of the hall between the office and other bedroom, with tub/shower combination with sliding glass doors, and lavatory vanity with quartz counter tops as well.

The remaining bedroom has a queen-size bed, night stand and armoire, with walk-in closet. A large window affords a distant view towards the north. The en suite bathroom has a walk-in shower with glass door and linen closet.

Last but not least is the well-equipped and spacious kitchen with granite counter tops, stainless steel European style sink, dishwasher, glass top range, side by side refrigerator/freezer, and two built-in ovens, one being microwave and the other a convection oven. Tray ceiling with recessed lighting and ceiling fan add to the spaciousness of this area. There is an island bar flowing into the breakfast room with table seating 4, which then opens onto a screened in furnished balcony, and from the kitchen a pass-through bar with stools to the main dining area and table seating 8. This, too, has sliding glass doors to the screened in balcony.

The best way to describe this property is that its central location to all the interesting things of the area, and its height, and almost 300 degree panoramic views, provide a unique vantage point and truly can be called a crown jewel amongust all the available vacation properties in this area.

Our rental properties are all outfitted with high tech features such as remote entry locks, high speed wireless internet, etc. In addition, for our guests with allergies, this condo is both nonsmoking and pet-free.
