Welcome to Royal Pelican #173 your very comfortable waterfront tropical hideaway in paradise. Perfect for those guests who will need a dock for their boat during their stay, dock rentals for a fee are available right at this resort, and there is access directly to the Gulf of Mexico! This resort-style condo on the 1st floor above ground floor has 2 bedrooms and 2 baths, and with a sleeper sofa in the living room sleeps a total of 6. Please note there is a one month minimum stay. Views are of the surrounding network of canals and all the lush tropical foliage. The kitchen is complete with plenty of counterspace and well-stocked cabinets to make it easier to prepare full-course meals, should that be on your list. There is a stainless steel sink with disposal, as well as a refrigerator/freezer with ice maker, built-in range with self-cleaning oven, dishwasher, and countertop microwave. Your own washer and dryer are included in your condo as well.

This resort is located at the quiet southern end of Estero Island and offers a myriad of amenities that include deeded beach access, a clubhouse just steps from your building, two heated pools, shuffleboard courts, gas BBQ grills in the common areas, and a fishing pier. The clubhouse has a small library, as well as kitchen that can be reserved for entertainment needs outside the condo. The community's grounds are beautifully landscaped and maintained. In addition, within walking distance is a public marina and movie theatre. Pincher's Crab Shack restaurant is a 5-minute walk down the beach at the Wyndham Resort, and across the boulevard is Santini Marina Plaza and its many shops and restaurants, with a CVS pharmacy just past the Plaza. There is also quick exit via the south bridge to nearby Naples, Bonita Springs, Estero and RSW International Airport. The beach at this portion of the island is expansive, connecting its guests to 7 miles of white sugar sand beach. Trolley service is available from the boulevard out front to the Times Square area, the central hub of Fort Myers Beach, where there is an extended fishing pier and too numerous to count clubs, restaurants, and boutiques. The trolley can also take you south to the secluded Lover's Key park. The island's major supermarket, Publix, is just a 2-mile drive away.

Entry at ground level is through a secure lobby. For your arrival convenience there are luggage carts available behind the lobby, as well as ample parking. Take the elevator to the first floor and go left for access to your condo. The hallways on each floor are open air and allow the island winds to waft around you as you approach the door to your accommodations.

Walk into #173 into a tiled foyer with kitchen to the left as described above. A pass-through bar into the dining area has 2 barstools. To the right is the guest bedroom and hallway bath. This bedroom has 2 twin beds with 3-drawer chest and lamp in between. There is also a window that opens out onto the outside walkway. There is a 5-drawer chest with flat screen TV. There is a also a walk-in closet and a corner chair. The adjacent guest bath has a vanity and lavatory, commode, and combination tub/shower with sliding glass doors.

Back into the hallway and just to the right of the kitchen is the nicely furnished and carpeted dining area and living room. The rectangular glass-top dining table seats 4. The dining room wall is mirrored, adding to the spacious feeling in this area. To the right of the dining area is a 3-section wall unit with shelves and cabinets with recessed lighting. The living room has a queen-size sleeper sofa and matching love seat, end tables and lamps, as well as glass-top coffee table and two overstuffed recliners. A large flat screen TV on a credenza is along the wall opposite the sofa for your viewing pleasure, with an adjacent corner chair and floor lamp. Large sliding glass doors lead out onto the well-furnished screened-in balcony. There is a table seating 4 and a ceiling fan. This may well be a frequent focal point to sit and enjoy the fantastic view of the canals and numerous boat docks as you sip your favorite beverage or morning coffee.

Back into the living area and to the left is the master bedroom with en suite bath. Furnishings include a queen-size bed, night stands and lamps, a 5-drawer chest, triple dresser, and large flat screen TV. Sliding glass doors provide access to the screened in, private balcony furnished with chair and ottoman, lounge chair and cocktail table and lamp, again with a magnificent view of two intersecting canals. Also on this balcony behind louvered doors is your own washer and dryer so that you will be able to leave with suitcases packed with clean clothes! There is a large walk-in closet, next to which is the en suite bathroom with tile flooring, vanity, lavatory, and commode, with walk-in shower with sliding glass doors.

The condo is of course climate controlled, but can also be opened up to allow the tropical breezes to flow through each and every room on those cool summer evenings, or pretty much any other time of the year.

The island has numerous restaurants and night life for your choosing. Water activities abound. There's parasailing, jet ski rentals, fishing charters to name a few. Your stay at Royal Pelican will definitely provide the potential for an unforgettable getaway!
